Joshua Unghire is an adjunct instructor for Buffalo State and has taught classes in soil science and management, watershed pollution, and wetland ecology. He has taught at Buffalo State since 2015. Mr. Unghire has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a master's of Environmental Management from Duke University. He has 17 years of professional experience working in the field of environmental science and has been a full-time employee of the Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District for over 14 years. Mr. Unghire is an Ecologist for the Corps of Engineers, and his work focuses on projects that create and restore aquatic habitat and contribute to the restoration of Great Lakes ecosystems. This includes stream and wetland restoration, invasive species management, and habitat improvement.  He also provides technical reviews for other Corps of Engineers ecosystem restoration projects from around the U.S.  Mr. Unghire is certified by the Society of Ecological Restoration as a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP).
