Dr. Frothingham's research interests include:
- the relationships between fluvial dynamics and aquatic habitat in stream systems impacted by human activity;
- stream channel restoration and naturalization;
- interdisciplinary ecosystem-based watershed management.
She teaches courses in physical geography, conservation & environmental management, research techniques, and watershed analysis. Dr. Frothingham spent several years working with community partners and linking coursework to Scajaquada Creek, which flows adjacent to campus.
